Rings

Ha, ha rings. That piece of jewelry that you stick on your finger to be fancy. But we are so much more than that. We represent love, accomplishment, oaths, and everything in between. We see and hear everything and continue to be the symbols that you built us for. We have feelings too. Do you know how it feels to be broken or worthless?

When, you are supposed to symbolize the love a couple shares, but then one of them decides to break it off. It turns us from something that represented love into disgust. It makes us worthless and to be thrown away by your partner, we didn’t do anything we were doing our jobs. We were there to remind you that someone was waiting for you back home, but you didn’t care. You tossed us aside as you did them.

These are things that we face every single day. People think we are just jewelry that you can replace at any time and that we are just a fashion statement, that could only go well with one dress at a time. Then you compare us to other rings. Do you think we are not good enough for you? Do we not bring you the same joy that you had when you bought us in the first place? Sometimes we wish that you didn’t buy us at all.

But, then there are people who show us appreciation. I remember when a graduation ring came to me and said that he overheard someone say that he doesn’t mean anything. I was wondering what happened?

He said that the person told, the owner of the ring, a high school football ring mattered more than a graduation ring. But, he didn’t feel as sad at all. He said that his owner stood up for him.

He said, “this ring represents the time I was here, and that shows the struggles I endured to get through it.” It showed that not everybody would feel bad or disgraced for getting their type of ring.

We also feel the love when you keep your ring, when you lose your wife or husband. It shows that undying love that we wanted all that time. When someone is honoring their mother and father, it shows that love of family. We are not just cheap trinkets or even only jewelry. We are a symbol to those that hold us close to them. We will always love our owners, always.

I always wanted to be a writer. So, I built this website to create stories that people can enjoy, to connect with people who can see that they can be the heroes of their own story, to inspire them to create and share with others. I aspire to be a published author, studied English throughout my college career and enjoy different types of writing from the classic novel to comic books. I mostly enjoy writing action-packed adventure stories, but willing to write different kinds of genres as the posts on the website are different from each other. I always felt that writing made things easier to deal with in life, as many may feel the same way. Please let me know if you would like me to write a particular type of story you'd like to read.
